The day we've all had circled on our calendars since January has arrived -- the Pac-12 game of the year is upon us. This one showcases the titans of the Pac-12, pitting two BCS top five teams against one another. The Ducks of Oregon are in Palo Alto to take on the Cardinal of Stanford. Kickoff is shortly after 6 p.m. (pacific time). The game will be televised on ESPN. In the teams' meeting last season, Stanford's defense propelled the Card to a 17-14 overtime win over the previously undefeated Ducks. Third-ranked Oregon (8-0 overall, 5-0 Pac-12) is coming off a 42-14 home win over UCLA on October 26. Stanford (7-1, 5-1), ranked fifth, is coming off a 20-12 win at Oregon St. on October 26.

This looks like it could be one of the games of the year with 2 very talented teams. I'm disappointed I won't get to see this one live today (lousy work). Hopefully I'll get a chance to watch it over the weekend. I think it comes down to Stanford's ability on defence and in stopping Oregon Quarterback and surely Heisman favourite, Marcus Mariota who was been playing some amazing football and still hasn't thrown an interception this year. If they can slow him down and try to keep the Ducks in 3rd and long situations that will give them their best chance of winning. It is worth noting that Stanford did a great job of containing Mariota in their OT win against the Ducks last year. I'll be cheering the Cardinal home for Kasey this week but emotions aside and if you were asking who I think will win, well I don't know....

I'm still trying to figure out how to post a picture. The only way I can think of is to post one as an attachment, and then it comes up really small.

I am going to estimate we are about 35 minutes away from the kickoff. It is usually a few minutes after the listed start time so the network's broadcasters can introduce the game. Make sure you have all your snacks and beverages. We are not going to miss a minute of this game!
