In my opinion, the 2008 ArenaCup will remain the biggest heartbreaker in Spokane franchise history. This was a very disappointing end to an otherwise fantastic season for the Empire.
I hope the core group of guys can play together next year. The more they play with each other, the Stronger they'll be.
The Storm aren't invincible. They will have a season that they do not repeat as champions.
But regardless. Congratulations to the Empire on an outstanding first season in the IFL.

I hope the group can keep together too. they will only get better next year. i am impressed with the character of the guys and their willingness and enthusiasm when it comes to fans. Sioux Falls may have had the win, but the Empire organization, coaches and players are the true winners. the Spokane fans are the true winners for having this team and these players!

It didn't go the way we had hoped but I thought this season overall was really successful. The team, coaches and players have a lot to look forward to in the future. I've had a lot of fun following these and learning about the IFL style of football along the way.
