Garoppolo is probably overvalued in the league. Someone is going to give up a high draft pick for him and end up with a lemon. The Patriots have a system offense and the little success he had there is because of that system. He's just much too untested to give up way to much.

But the issue is, is you are trading a 1st + something else high. IMO the Bradford trade was worth it considering the circumstances and the talent level of Bradford. We have no idea if Jimmy G is talented on his own or not. That is the risk you run acquiring a QB with limited experience. At least with Osweiler the Texans didn't trade a 1st round pick + something else high. Also, you have to wonder if Jimmy G will pull a Matt Cassel get traded and then sign a fat contract. So, now you traded a 1st + something else high and payed him a 62.7 million contract (for the sake of example I'll use what Cassel got paid) and have only seen him play a game and a half. Overvalued is probably an under statement.
