Every game of a team which we cover here will be followed up with a final score and stat summary when it becomes available. This will serve as the preview and game thread for the entire week's games.

Stanford Cardinal at Oregon St. Beavers
What: The 20th-ranked Cardinal are in Corvallis to face the Beavers.

Note(s): Both teams are coming off bye weeks. Stanford running back Bryce Love, despite the bye week and leaving the Oregon game very early in the third quarter with a leg injury, still leads the FBS in rushing yards with 1,387 (198.1 yards per game). He is averaging 10.3 yards per carry and has 11 rushing touchdowns. He is expected to see action, but don't be surprised to see a heavy dose of backup Cameron Scarlett. The Beavers are allowing 43.7 points per game this season. Oregon St. will play its second game under interim head coach Cory Hall, who takes over for Gary Anderson. Anderson suddenly resigned after the Beavers' loss to USC on Oct. 7.

California Golden Bears at Colorado Buffaloes
What: The Golden Bears head to Boulder to battle the Buffaloes.

Note(s): The Cougar connection - these two teams have had recent landslide results against the Washington St. Cougars, with different outcomes. Two weeks ago, Cal dominated the Cougars en route to a 37-3 win. Last week, the Cougars took out revenge on the Buffaloes to the tune of a 2-0 shutout. Cal running back Patrick Laird had a monster game in the Bears double-overtime loss to Arizona. He rushed for 130 yards on 28 carries for 2 touchdowns, while catching 5 passes for 42 yards. The Buffaloes will retire the number of former standout running back Rashaan Salaam, who committed suicide 10 months ago. Current head coach Mike MacIntyre: "It means a great deal to this program. I know it will mean a tremendous amount to his family. You never can forget it, you can never put it behind you. Southern Utah Thunderbirds at Northern Colorado Bears
What: The Bears will try to get on the winning track as they host the Thunderbirds.

Note(s): Southern Utah running back James Felila rushed 27 times for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Thunderbirds' win over Eastern Washington on October 21. In his first start for Northern Colorado, Conor Regan completed 13 of 29 passes for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Frank Stephens caught 3 passes for 125 yards and a touchdown for the Bears in the game.

Utah Utes at Oregon Ducks
What: The struggling Utes and Ducks go to battle in Eugene.

Note(s): All 13 of Kyle Whittingham's 13 seasons as college head coach have been spent at Utah. Former Oregon wide receiver Darren Carrington II now plays for the Utes and leads the team in receiving with 45 grabs for 649 yards and 5 touchdowns. Oregon quarterback Braxton Burmeister, who is likely to start third collegiate game, has a 52.9 percent completion percentage, and has thrown just 1 touchdown against 5 interceptions. Oregon running back Royce Freeman is eighth in the FBS with 957 rushing yards. He also has rushed for 10 touchdowns.

The Broncos are averaging 28.3 points per game and are allowing 21.6 points per game. Utah St. cornerback Jalen Davis has been named a First Team Associated Press All American. Aggies' running back LaJuan Hunt rushed for 3 touchdowns in his team's win over UNLV on October 21. The Aggies' home field is named for the late defensive tackle and actor Merlin Olsen, who was born in Logan, Utah, attended Logan High School and played for Utah St. from 1958 to 1961. He played for the NFL's Los Angeles Rams for 15 seasons before signing on to play Jonathan Garvey on Little House on the Prairie for several years. He also worked as a announcer, the pinnacle of which was when he served as commentator for five Super Bowls and nine Rose Bowls.
