Welcome to our annual thread where we will track Santa's trip around the world to delivery presents this Christmas.
Of course, this all is made possible by our friends at the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
Per NORAD headquarters, it "is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control, and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the monitoring of man-made objects in space, and the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands."
Every Christmas for over 60 years, NORAD has tracked Santa's Christmas Eve journey around the world.
I will shortly be in contact with headquarters and post updates throughout most of the day, so please check back, and comment in the thread below!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Santa is seeing some ships, possibly the U.S. Navy. His takeoff is getting closer.
I will follow this until Monika gets up in the morning. Round-the-clock coverage!
