Davis Alexander went 12 of 21 for 133 yards and a touchdown in the loss, while Jabari Eason led the Vikings in rushing with 45 yards off of six carries. Tight end Charlie Taumoepeau continues to be the Vikings' go-to receiver, having caught three passes for 44 yards against the Vandals. The Vikings are in rebuilding mode, but a win over the Grizzlies would be a feather in their cap.
Grizzlies Notes: The Grizzlies went 2-0 in conference play as they took a 31-7 halftime lead and coasted to a 48-28 win over Cal Poly last week. Golden Bears Notes: The Golden Bears went 3-0 in con-conference play for the second straight season. In fact, Justin Wilcox is a perfect 6-0 in non-conference games in his two seasons as head coach of the team. With the exception of a rough second quarter, they were competitive with Oregon in a 42-24 loss in week 5. Sophomore quarterback Brandon Mcllwain had the heavy load for the Bears against the Ducks. He went 11 of 21 for 128 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. He also rushed 15 times for 123 yards and another score. Patrick Laird added 92 yards on 18 receptions and a touchdown. Vic Wharton led the Bears with 6 receptions for 68 yards.
Wildcats Notes: The Wildcats nearly completed the comback against USC last week, but fell just short, falling 24-20. the Wildcats have been on a down turn over the past few years, but have an opportunity to make it to a bowl game this season. This conference match up could go a long way toward that. Khalil Tate is a formidable dual-threat quarterback. He went 16 of 33 for 232 yards with a pair of touchdowns and an interception, while rushing 13 times for 38 yards. J.J. Taylor rushed 18 times for 50 yards in the loss, and Shun Brown caught five balls for 81 yards. Cedric Peterson and Stanley Berryhill III each had a touchdown grab in the Wildcat effort.

UTAH UTES at STANFORD CARDINAL
What: The Utes head about as far west as they can to face the Cardinal in the Bay.

Head Coaches (overall as HC): Kyle Whittingham (113-58); David Shaw (77-23).
Utes Notes: The Utes are looking to stay relevant in the Pac-12 South, but they will have a tough hill to climb after starting off their conference schedule with two losses. The led Washington St. with just under five minutes to go last week, only to see the Cougars score on an 89-yard touchdown pass. The Utes were unable to recover and fell, 28-24. Junior quarterback Tyler Huntley has completed 59.7 percent of his passes this season, for 821 yards four touchdowns and two picks. Zach Moss recorded his second 100-yard rushing game of the season against Washington St, rushing for 106 yards on 30 carries with a score. He has a rushing touchdown in each of the team's four games on the season.
Cardinal Notes: The Cardinal are licking their wounds after a lackluster loss at the hands of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Running back Bryce Love is the key to the offense, but opposing defenses are keying on the senior running back. Step in one K.J. Costello. With defenses bracing for Love, Costello has made the difference in the Cardinal's 4-1 start. He has completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,230 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. The Cardinal will need his arm in this game. J.J Arcega-Whiteside is one of the best receivers in the country, having amassed 438 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Wide receivers Trenton Irwin and Osiris St. Brown, as well as tight ends Kaden Smith and Colby Parkinson could be factors for Costello in the passing game.
