Nathanial "Nate" Chavious is a 5'10", 200-lb. running back who attended Sacred Heart University. He is the River Kings' leading rusher through six games this season with 57 carries for 294 yards and eight touchdowns. He also has caught 13 passes for 94 yards. At Sacred Heart, Chavious finished with 3,715 all-purpose yards, which ranks second on all time for the Pioneers. He is originally from Bellport, New York.

Here are Chavious' answers to our questions:
1. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement in football so far?
Conference championship (college).
2. What were your first impressions of the prospect of playing indoor football?
Physical, fast game with a short field.
3. What was it that made you want to come and try out for the team?
Measure myself against legitimate professional competition. Win and market myself.
4. Who has inspired you most in your football career and in life?
My father has been my biggest inspiration.
5. What is your biggest long-term goal for your football career?
Overall success (making a career out of the game that I love).
6. What would you like to accomplish this season?
Win a championship, (make) a significant contribution, (score) multiple touchdowns per game.
7. What are you looking forward to most about the upcoming season?
Competing against professional competition and forming a brotherhood with my teammates.
8. Please describe how important your family has been to you during your football journey?
My family has been very important as they were my support system through anything.
9. What is at the heart of your desire to continue your football career?
My love for the game of football.
10. What would you like IFL fans to know about you?
I am a dedicated player that is compelled to winning.
