BREAKDOWN
Both of these teams are in the driver's seat in their strive for a home playoff game. This game could be pivotal in the Blizzard's schedule. They are one game ahead of the Nebraska Danger and Tucson Sugar Skulls, in fourth place in the standings. Green Bay already holds the tiebreaker so it's more like two games in that regard. The Blizzard do not play the Sugar Skulls so the tiebreaker would go to statistics outside of any head-to-head match ups. A win here would be a great start to earn the fourth seed and a home game in the post season in the opening round. The schedule is favorable for Green Bay, as they face the 2-7 Bismarck Bucks in week 15, followed by a home-and-away with the 1-9 Cedar Rapids River Kings in weeks 16 and 17. The Barnstormers have already clinched a playoff spot and are seeking a first round bye and a home date in the conference finals. They would have to remain in second place or even jump into first with a potential Arizona Rattlers' loss. The key would be two win their remaining four games, including this one and a week 16 home date against the Sioux Falls Storm. the Barnstormers' 41-3 win over the Blizzard in week 3 could almost be thrown out the window given that Green Bay has reeled off five of seven wins since then, using improved quarterback play and a stout defensive attack. Green Bay is fourth in the league in scoring defense at 44.2 points per game and in total defense at 229.9 yards per game. Iowa comes in as the league's top defense, giving up 34.9 points and 219.1 yards per game. The Barnstormers lead the overall series, 10-2.
Daquan Neal's 175.0 passing yards and 36 touchdowns are third in the IFL. He is completing 71.8 percent of his passes for 1,750 yards and has tossed just two interceptions. Neal also ranks fourth in the IFL with 47.3 rushing yards per game and leads the league with five rushing touchdowns He was named IFL Offensive Player of Week 12 for his four passing and five rushing performance in a 59-56 win over the Quad City Steamwheelers. Jamal Tyler rushes for 23.6 yards per game and has eight rushing touchdowns. He also has caught two touchdown passes. Ryan Balentine is the IFL's top receiver at 71.2 yards per game and is second with 19 touchdown catches. Connor Hollenbeck has 36 receptions for 388 yards and seven touchdowns, and Jazeric Peterson adds 24 catches for 349 yards and four scores. Jourdan Wickliffe leads the Iowa defense with 67 tackles, and has 4.5 tackles for loss and two fumble recoveries. Treyvon Willianms has 63 tackles to go along with 2.5 sacks and 10.5 tackles for loss, Tyrell Pearson comes in as the IFL leader in interceptions with six. He also has four pass break ups. Cordero Hayes leads the Barnstormers with seven pass break ups and Travonte Valentine has recorded a pair of sacks. Nathan Criswell has hit 33 of 43 of his extra point attempts and his four of seven on field goal tries with a long of 35 yards.
Lenorris Footman has grown over the course of the season since taking over early in the Blizzard's first game. He comes in completing 52.8 percent of his passes for 133.2 yards per game with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He's a dangerous rusher and is second with 59.1 yards per game on the ground and tied for fifth with 13 touchdowns., Rameses Owens will pick up the slack in the rushing game. He averages 5.0 yards per carry and has 10 trips to the end zone. B.J. Hill, who has a pair of rushing touchdowns, is the team's leading receiver with 33 receptions for 397 yards and has six touchdown grabs. Keshaun Taylor has 31 catches for 320 yards and Kezlow Smith adds 26 receptions for 340 yards and eight touchdowns. Levi Copelin rounds out the group with 16 grabs for 189 yards and three scores. Dayshawn Taylor leads the team with 62 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and a sack. Deldrick Canty has four sacks and seven tackles for loss, while Silverberry Mouhon enters this contest with three sacks and a team-high nine tackles for loss. Bakari Triggs leads the team with four interceptions. Edward Ruhnke is 21 of 24 on extra point attempts and four of nine on field goal tries with a long of 37 yards.
