In sports, breaking up is hard too do. The Duke City Gladiators recently left the Champions Indoor Football League for what they believe will be a better opportunity in the Indoor Football League. This is the second year in a a row that the CIF has lost teams to the IFl. Quad City and Bismarck left last season and were competing assets for the IFL. The IFl is fast becoming a major rival to the Arena Football League and the addition of the two time defending CIF champions will add to the competitive structure of the IFL. The Gladiators posses a fine product both on and off the field, if the IFL gets the rumored Cities in expansion this addition will enhance it in the minds of many football fans next spring and help put the game of indoor football on the American sports map.

It almost was 3 straight years, which is crazy considering that whole dispute between the IFL and the CIF back in 2018 over Bloomington & West Michigan jumping to the IFL and Sioux Falls & Wichita Falls to the CIF; it could have been three straight.
As for Rivalry with the AFL, I'm not sure. I think if anything the IFL's leading the way in terms of "Indoor Football" well ahead of the National Arena League and miles above CIF.

So with Iowa, Spokane, Arizona, Bismarck and Quad Cities, and Duke City, isn't it like five out of the past six years that the IFL has had a team come over from another league?

You would be correct, Monika!
