Overview
The following is the 2020 schedule for the Cedar Rapids River Kings.
The River Kings (formerly the Cedar Rapids Titans) are entering their ninth season in the Indoor Football League, and second as under their re-branded identity. After showing some promise early last season, they largely struggled and finished with a 1-13 record; missing the playoffs. Their only win of the season came in Week 3 when they defeated the expansion San Diego Strike Force, 65-48. They will look to rebound and compete for one of the league's eight playoff spots in 2020.
The River Kings open their season at home against regional rival Quad City Steamwheelers on opening weekend; March 7th. They have a three-game homestand from in late March and early April, and a three-game road trip in early June. They close out the season in Week 17 at home against the Green Bay Blizzard. Cedar Rapids faces the expansion Frisco Fighters twice (home and away). The River Kings do not play the Arizona Rattlers, Oakland Panthers or Spokane Shock this season.
Each IFL team plays 14 games (seven home and seven away), and has three bye weeks. The River Kings byes come in Weeks 4, 9 and 12. They play their home games at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Victor Mann is entering his first season as the team's head coach.
All River Kings games will be broadcast locally on the radio and will be available for streaming through those stations. SCtoC will provide links in its previews of the games, as well as recaps of each IFL game. Broadcast information for each game is forthcoming and will be updated on this page when available.
