Overview
The following is the 2020 schedule for the Frisco Fighters.
The expansion franchise in Frisco, Texas is coached by ex-Philadelphia Soul head coach Clint Dolezel. The team is family owned; Steve and Kim Germain and their children Jessica, Austin and Zach will helm the new franchise. The Texas Revolution, which shut down midway through the 2019 Champions Indoor Football season, formerly called Frisco home. The Fighters will play their home games at the Comerica Center, which was home to the Revolution in 2018, as well as the Frisco Thunder of the Intense Football League from 2007-2008.
Frisco has a bye during the first week of the season, and makes its IFL debut on March 12 at home against the Duke City Gladiators. They play one three-game road trip and twice play two consecutive on the road. They close out their season with a three-game homestand, finally closing out their season at home against the Iowa Barnstormers in week 16 (Frisco has a bye in week 17). The Quad City Steamwheelers and Tucson Sugar Skulls are the only teams Frisco does not face this season.
Each IFL team plays 14 games (seven home and seven away), and has three bye weeks. Frisco's byes come in Weeks 1, 6 and 17. Announcements regarding the team's home arena and head coach are forthcoming..
