PIRATES OVERVIEW
The Pirates are playing the third of three on the road to start the season. They started with a victory in Louisville over the Xtreme, before falling last week to the Green Bay Blizzard on a last-mite touchdown. The Pirates are looking to get back on track against a competitive Bucks' team which beat the Blizzard in week 1. Massashusetts is coached by Patrick Pass, a former NFL running back with the New England Patriots. Pass has developed a roster of talented indoor football veterans and some talented rookies. Quarterback Alejandro Bennifield is coming off a performance against the Blizzard which earned him IFL Offensive Player of the week honors. Justin Stockton Is emerging as an early favorite to lead the IFL in rushing with his 69.0 yards per game average. Thomas Owens leads the receiving corps. On defense, linebacker Tavarus Dantzler earned IFL Defensive Player of the Week for his five tackles, three tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks, while Martrell Spaight leads the team in total tackles.

BUCKS OVERVIEW
Bismarck accomplished just what it wanted to in the season opening-win over the Green Bay Blizzard, thanks to Glen Cuielette's 14-yard touchdown pass to Raheem Harvey with 6.8 seconds left on the clock. It was the Bucks' first win in a season opener, including their one game in 2020 (loss to the Stan Diego Strike Force) prior to the cancellation of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Head Coach Rod Miller's squad kept the game close throughout, setting up the game-winning score. After a bye week, the Bucks are ready to defend their home field against Pirates. Richard Stammetti started the game under center, but Cuielette came in the second half with more success, leading the team to final-minute win. Justin Rankin averaged 5.0 yard per carry, while Harvey tallied 88 yards in the game. Cameron Hunt recorded a sack and an interception in the opener, while Deion Carterled the team in tackles. Also look for Darreon Jackson to make an impact on defense.
