We all know the biggest non-conference game of the year is happening on Saturday when the Ducks take on the Spartans at Autzen. Now, what I'd like to know is, will the Stanford fans here on SC2C be pulling for Oregon? I know you guys aren't the biggest Duck fans, but the fact is that this is a HUGE game for the PAC-12, and if the Ducks can do it, then not only does it mean that they can stand tall with the nitty-gritty defensive teams like Stanford, but it also means that the PAC-12 can stand tall with the "big boys" of the SEC. So, I'm hoping that, for at least one day, you can set your hatred of the Ducks aside, and root for the PAC-12 above all else.
And lastly, GOOOOOO DUCKS!!!

And lastly, GOOOOOO DUCKS!!! my line on non-conference games is that i wish for the Pac-12 to win all of them -- all 36 (not including bowl games ... yet). that's the biggest way the rest of the nation is going to know how strong the conference is. now, i believe two Pac-12 teams lost last weekend so i guess i will have to settle for 34 for the season. still, it would make for an eye opener. the non-conference games against highly ranked opponents are even amplified for obvious reasons. the way i figure it, if Stanford is to get a chance at the national playoff, it will have to win the conference title. to earn that chance, it will have to beat Oregon. really, our own destiny lies in conference play rather than our Pac-12 opponents' non-conference schedules anyway. so, as a native Oregonian, i will say i would rather Oregon wins this weekend. how's that for an analytical answer!
