The Portland Thunder will open the 2015 AFL season with a three-game home stand, as they enter their second campaign. The season begins March 27 against the Los Angeles KISS at the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter.
Following the three home games, they go on the road for three straight. The Thunder whose first two franchise wins came on a two-game Florida road trip over the Jacksonville Sharks and Tampa Bay Storm, will host both teams at various points in the season. The Thunder play four of their last six away from the Rose City.
Portland will play four teams -- KISS, San Jose Sabercats, Spokane Shock and Arizona Rattlers -- in its conference three times each. The Thunder will play the AFL's lone expansion team (Las Vegas Outlaws) twice, and will play four of the six American Conference teams one time each. They do not face the New Orleans VooDoo or Cleveland Gladiators this season.
The AFL schedule provides that each team plays 18 games over 20 weeks, with each team getting two bye weeks.
The following is Portland's 2015 schedule (times are pacific; bold blue denotes home games). Television and streaming listings have been listed as they have been released. Note that ESPN3 listings are for streaming through the ESPN network. All other listings are to be broadcast on ESPN2, ESPN News or CBS Sports Network. Listings have yet to be released by the AFL for July and August regular season games.
