SPOKANE, Wash. - The Spokane Chiefs and Catholic Charities will collect monetary donations at Spokane Arena during the annual Red-White Game on Sunday at 1 p.m. All donations directly support wildfire victims and firefighters across Washington and the Pacific Northwest.
“Catholic Charities Spokane will be onsite manning shelters and providing essential supplies,” Rob McCann, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Spokane, said.
“We are also providing case management, counseling and assistance to those needing alternative permanent housing. This work will continue for months after the last fire is out. Any financial contributions will allow us to continue to respond to the ongoing needs of victims, evacuees, and firefighters.”
The Chiefs will also hold a small silent auction with proceeds going directly to Catholic Charities and wildfire relief.
The Red-White Game, which marks the culmination of the Chiefs’ Annual Fall Camp, is free and open to the public, with first-come first-served seating in the lower bowl of Spokane Arena. Fans can enter the building at the southeast entrance, near the Chiefs’ Ticket Office and Official Team Store.
Tickets for the Chiefs’ only home preseason game are on sale now. They’ll take on the Tri-City Americans at Spokane Arena on Saturday, September 19 with a 2 p.m. start time. General admission, lower-bowl tickets are just $10 with free parking.
The Spokane Chiefs open the 2015-16 regular season with Bud Light Opening Night on Saturday, September 26 at Spokane Arena. Ticket packages are on sale now and start as low as $110. For more information, stop by the Chiefs’ Ticket Office in-person on the southeast corner of Spokane Arena, call (509) 535-PUCK or visit www.spokanechiefs.com.
