The Shock continue to fill out vital positions for their 2016 roster. On Labor Day, the team announced they signed 3 offensive linemen to the squad: Malcolm Speller, Ahongalu "Ngalu" Fusimalohi, and Michael Boyefio.
Malcolm Speller is a 6'3'', 305 lb center who played at the University of Massachusetts. He'll be a rookie in the IFL, but he has had experience with indoor football, spending time with the Trenton Freedom of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL). Speller spent the latter half of his college career at the UMass after transferring from Bowie State University (Maryland).
Ahongalu "Ngalu" Fusimalohi is a 6'3'', 330 lb guard from the University of Kansas. He'll get his first taste of pro football in the IFL after finishing his career as a member of the Jayhawks. In 21 games at left guard, Fusimalohi was awarded KU's Offensive Lineman of the Year in each of his two seasons. Prior to transferring to Kansas, he attended the City College of San Francisco, earning First Team All-Nor Cal Conference honors. He also won a NJCAA Championship with CCSF in 2011.
Michael Boyefio is a 6'2'', 330 lb center from Texas A&M University Commerce. As with his fellow lineman signees, he'll be a rookie in the IFL. A recent graduate, Boyefio played in 12 games in his only season with the Lions. He originally transferred from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he spent 3 seasons and appeared in 20 games.
The Shock now have signed a total 9 players since announcing their move to the IFL six days ago.
