Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden St. Warriors
The Western Conference's fifth seed Portland Trail Blazers face off against the top seeded Golden St. Warriors in the Western Conference Semifinals of the 2016 NBA Playoffs. The Blazers ended the season at 44-28, good for second in the Northwest Division. They earned advancement out of the first round with a 4-2 series win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The Warriors finished with the best regular season record in NBA history at 73-9. They advanced to this round with a 4-1 series win over the Houston Rockets in the first round. The Blazers are led by guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, and forward Al-Farouq Aminu. The Warriors are paced by guard Klay Thompson, forward Draymond Green and guard Stephen Curry, who may or may not see time in this series due to injury. These teams have never met in the playoffs.
