Welp, I should have looked at the link. "Due to technical difficulties...." Riiiiiiiiiight. I'll still do the quarter recaps, Nevadanut , if you're listening to the game on radio. That's what I was thinking. What a great way to promote the team and the league!

Yeah, stats might be unlikely for this game. More than likely these are costs that the league doesn't want to put up for Portland.

That's what I was thinking. What a great way to promote the team and the league! Agreed. For a league that's beating the drum that "Oh, Portland is a great team to invest in," they're not doing a good job promoting it. Yeah, stats might be unlikely for this game. More than likely these are costs that the league doesn't want to put up for Portland. So they won't spend money for video feeds or stats, but they'll go and paint the endzones blue and add the Steel logo at midfield. AFL really has its priorities in line.

Just saying from speculation, but yeah, would seem pretty strange to put money in for changes to the field and making roster changes. Maybe they did the work to the field during the extending road game schedule and now pulling back because of funds? Not many people watch game online I'd imagine, so maybe want to put money toward the fans at the game? No idea.

Based on Jim Robinson's tweet, they started putting in the mid-field logo earlier this week. Which, the logo looks fine on the field... I just think the Steel wordmark is a bit excessive. I just don't get the AFL's money priorities. I get they want to cover up the Thunder name, but why leave the Emmert International logo on the field? Again, I don't see how any of this helps fans feel confident in this team's future, let alone show potential buyers a reason why the would want to purchase the team.

Sounds like things are going well for Portland. I hope they keep it up. It's not pretty, but they're getting it done. I think there's been 5 some odd drive stops between both teams.

And as soon as I say that, the game stream link is up. But when I click on it, it's the replay of Portland/LA. AFL. Get your act together! League's not streaming the game now.
Try streaming from this link: Steel vs Storm

Man, Portland's defense is looking like a Top League unit.
They really needed this game with Tampa to get a confidence boost.
