Low scoring victory for the Empire. If I'm not mistaken, this is the lowest scoring win for the Empire/Shock in franchise history.
Difficult to figure who should get the SCtC game ball. Sims was outstanding for the Empire but Robinson made two critical picks on Wanket. Plus, consider that the defense is what kept Spokane in the game.
Decisions, decisions....

Only one other game in the IFL tonight and it was low scoring as well. Green Bay defeats Tri-Cities 23-20.
With Nebraska's loss, the Fever (3-11) are *still* alive for the third spot in the Intense Conference playoffs.

Robinson did not have any tackles, so I had to go with Sims.

I have to give Larry Weir props for calling that game. There were times you could tell he was either baffled or frustrated with the referees. I can't imagine the lack of yardage markers made things any easier.

I am sorry that tonight I was off my game. It is kind of a long story with having to be late and all. Let's just say I am proud to say that for the first time in my life, I have my own health, dental and vision insurance, and 401K after tonight! My only health insurance before was though a state or welfare. Long story, but I am very, very happy right now. I guess my mind was a little elsewhere. That was such a weird game. Who would have thought that the Empire would score 25 points and win! Thank you to David for the outstanding preview and for holding the fort down until Angi and I got here. Thank you Yeseeka for the same reason! You rocked tonight! Of course, thank you to DiamondThief for the quarter summaries and excellent commentary! Huge thanks to the boss lady, Kasey, for stopping in, and for so much more. The Steel play the Rattlers tomorrow night in Arizona. The game starts at 6 p.m. (pacific). I expect you all to be here for that! Next week we have a quandry. The Empire host the Sioux Falls Storm at 7 p.m. (pacific) at the same time the Portland Steel host the Cleveland Gladiators. I am not sure how we are going to work the threads, so stay tuned for some kind of announcement. Once again, Thank you everyone!
