The Empire did it. After limping into the playoffs, as it were, they established the running game tonight and took care of business. They are headed to the United Bowl, next Saturday. Huge thank you and props to David for not only a great game preview (as always!). I know he has some more coverage coming up for us. Rumor has it, we will hear from Empire general manager Ryan Eucker, as well as a twitter interview with Empire RB Trevor Kennedy later this week. That's just what he had set up before the game! Thank you DiamondThief for the scoring updates, which I know became more difficult as the live stats went down. Thank you to Kasey for being here (and for setting up David's media access). Thank you to my best friend and sister, Yeseeka, for bringing her enthusiasm here, and thanks to SurferGirl for dropping by. Major thank you to Ryan Eucker for giving us access to the team and providing us with statistics. Those are greatly helpful to a site like ours. We may not have had the numbers of people commenting we would like (yet), but I know we have many who read our content, so that helps us bring the Empire to those fans. Thank you to the Nebraska Danger on a hard-fought season and hard-fought game. I expect them to be right back contending for the Intense Conference title next season. So, this all leads us to next Saturday. The Portland Steel play at Tampa Bay at 2 p.m. on ESPN2. A win guarantees the Steel of the seventh seed in the AFL playoffs. Consider this the undercard to our main event. The Empire will play at Sioux Falls in the United Bowl at 5 p.m..The Storm have played in the past six United Bowls and have won the last five. This won't be an easy game, but it looks like the Empire are up for it. So, until then, thank you for those who commented and read about tonight's game.
