Both QB's were very efficient passing the ball. For the Eagles, Gubrud has an 85% completion percentage. For the Cougars, Falk came in at 80.1. This has been a great weekend and we've had a lot of fun. Angi wants to feature two games each weekend and I think we can do it! Thank you to everyone who has come for this thread. Putting in my $0.02 on the game.
I'm so glad Eastern won. I've been saying to people in my circle for years, I thought that EWU could defeat WSU. Mainly for 2 reasons: 1) Over the past 6 years, EWU has played better quality of football and 2) I started getting tired of the lack of Eagle coverage/support for the local sports media to just adore WSU, especially during stretches they were just bad. I know WSU beat EWU back in 2012, but there were some rather questionable calls that could have changed that game.
As for the game, it was tight and I remember thinking "Oh here we go" when both teams traded scores. Going back to their openers against Oregon State, Oregon, and Washington, Eastern had problems holding the opposing offense to without a score. I got worried when WSU stopped the Eagles on a drive, because I thought history would repeat itself. It didn't, and it ended up being an awesome game to watch (with friends at a sports bar too!)
Overall from what I've seen of College FB as a whole, this was a fantastic weekend for games. And that include's last night's Notre Dame/Texas game.

I was really impressed with the EWU-WSU game. It's hard sometimes to get interested in teams when you don't know very much about them. That's something Heidi and I mentioned to each other recently about our forum. Between the score updates and quarter summaries, we have a better idea of what is going on in the games. This one was so much fun. It was almost all offense which is generally more exciting.
