So what is IFL.tv like? Is it worth buying? What are the quality of the broadcasts? Is it live or games are recorded? Is it like NFL Game Pass or NFL Sunday Ticket? Or a little of both? Thanks for reading.

The games are live, but depending on what pass you buy you can watch previously aired games. Basically you can buy a 24 hour pass or a full season pass. You might also be able to buy a month pass if I'm not mistaken. But whatever you buy, you have access to all the games and past broadcasts.
I've watched some Empire games via IFL.tv. Some of the broadcasts are rather respectable. Basically, it's like what ESPN3's stuff was for the AFL, only it's more pay-per-view kinda of a thing. Honestly, I've bought 2 broadcasts and the quality and HD was pretty good. I know Kasey and Angi bought the Colorado/Spokane one and they had trouble, but I had no issues whatsoever.
The awesome thing about IFL Live's broadcasts is you can choose the radio broadcast you wanna hear, unlike ESPN3 which forces you to go with whatever radio announcer they have set up.
