Carlos Hyde to BrownsQuick thoughts: The big question with this signing is: Does this mean that the Browns will not draft Saquon Barkley at No. 1? I honestly don't know. Nate Solder to GiantsQuick thoughts: The Giants needed help at the tackle position and they got it. Now the Pats will be in the market for someone to replace to Solder. Jerick McKinnon to 49ersQuick thoughts: I think McKinnon is an upgrade over Hyde personally. Julius Peppers stays with PanthersQuick thoughts: Arguably the best player in Panthers history stays with them. Even at his age he still is contributing, so good re-signing by the Panthers. Cardinals cut Tyrann Mathieu Quick thoughts: I get his salary was large, but the Cardinals will regret cutting him.

This seems to have been a weird off season so far for the NFL. Maybe that's not the case since it's happening currently, but there are so many notable players switching teams. This will be interesting as the draft is coming up next month. I would guess a lot of teams' preliminary draft boards are quite different after today.

These past couple days of free agency have definitely changed things.

Jets trade for No. 3 overall pick from ColtsQuick thoughts: I know this isn't a free agency signing but it is still worth mentioning. Most people are saying that this trade means the Jets are looking for a QB, but I think it is possible that the Jets are wanting one the best of non-QB prospects in the draft (Minkah Fitzpatrick, Bradley Chubb, or Quenton Nelson).

Terrelle Pryor to JetsQuick thoughts: Josh McCown now has a really good weapon to throw to. Pryor is talented and should help the Jets win football games.

Brock Osweiler to DolphinsQuick thoughts: The tanking Dolphins sign the WOAT (Worst of All Time). Live look at the dumpster fire that is the Miami Dolphins:

Ndamukong Suh to RamsQuick thoughts: The Rams defense is going to be legit next year. I think the addition of Suh along with their other additions makes them SB contenders.

Thomas Rawls to JetsQuick thoughts: In what continues to be a good offseason for the Jets, they got a good player in Rawls.

2019 Free Agency has started folks... sorta. Basically, the legal tampering period has opened which means that teams can negotiate contracts ahead of the start of the new league year. A bunch of players have already been signed and I'll be sure to give my thoughts when more players are signed. Trey Flowers and Danny Amendola to the Lions Quick thoughts: 2 former Patriots going to the wannabe Patriots? Can't say I'm shocked by these signings. Both are solid players and should be decent contributors for the Lions. Trent Brown to RaidersQuick thoughts: The Raiders needed to upgrade their offense line and signing Brown is going to make that a reality. Trust the Gruden, people. Kwon Alexander to 49ersQuick thoughts: One of the leaders of the really good and then total garbage Bucs defense is now getting overpaid in San Fran. Considering the crazy amount of cap the 49ers have to spend, I guess it isn't a terrible move, but it isn't one that I think is going to move the needle very much. Landon Collins to RedskinsQuick thoughts: Can the Redskins secondary get much better at this point? Seriously, maybe Bruce Allen isn't as bad as people in DC say he is. Malik Jackson to EaglesQuick thoughts: Considering the Eagles traded Michael Bennett, they needed a replacement and Jackson appears to be that replacement. Considering what Jackson has done in the past, I'd consider it an upgrade. Nick Foles to JaguarsQuick thoughts: The Jaguars needed a QB and they got the best one available in years. The dude won a SB and nearly took the Eagles to another one, he isn't going to be overpaid. The fact that Foles isn't getting a fully guaranteed contract and Kirk Cousins did is just gross. Can you say better record? Yes. Can you say more primetime games than the Jags have ever gotten? Yes. The Jaguars are contenders again everybody. Watch out.

Tyrann Mathieu to ChiefsQuick thoughts: One of the best safeties in football goes to one of the best teams in football. Good decision by the Chiefs of signing him and good decision by The Honey Badger going to the Chiefs.

Cole Beasley to BillsQuick thoughts: Beasley wanted big money and he got it from the Bills. Beasley is replaceable by the Cowboys, but there was a part of me that was kinda sad to see him go after playing for the Cowboys all this time. Good luck Cole!
