April 16, 2017 --
On April 13, Spokane Empire general manager Ryan Eucker announced that he was leaving the Empire to take a new post with the Normal CornBelters baseball team of the Frontier League in Illinois.
Over the past couple of seasons, Ryan has been instrumental in helping us to grow this site. It was after covering the Empire last season that we decided to concentrate our main efforts on this site to covering the rest of the IFL and it's teams, including our increased coverage of the Screaming Eagles and the Crush. I have also reached out to each of the other teams.
Simply, the Indoor Football League does things right. Ryan and the Empire are the perfect example of that.
I recently sat down to write a thank you letter to him. That letter appears below.
I look forward to continuing to cover the IFL and its teams on our site.

In Kassandra's Words began on the Blazers Blogger Network and continues here on this site. Relocating this blog allows me to include Blazers blogs, but to also expand it to other sports and teams, as well as matters of the forum itself. I encourage comments. However, I request that comments be directed toward the topic presented.

It's July 4th and there was nothing better than listening to the Normal Cornbelters' game today (they beat the Washington Wild Things, 6-4). Barely a minute after my tweet regarding that, the radio announcer had a shout out to me! Even if we don't cover the team (Can we please?!), I love that kind of thing! Here is my tweet earlier.
