I was just curious. I grew up in Oxnard, Cal. (or as Kasey puts it, "Oxxx-Narrrrrrd!) and there are many sports teams around. There were only two other girls in my neighborhood area who were my age and they were kind of girly girl. I liked to do girly stuff too. I also liked hanging out with the guys playing basketball in someone's driveway, football in the street or any other sport nearby. I think that's why I got into sports for the most part. My dad and little brother always liked them, but I think it had more to do with hanging out around the neighborhood with the guys. So what's your story?

I should say it was from my dad but I really think it had more to do with watching my three older brothers come home from their Little League practices and other sports they were involved with. I liked hearing their stories and always wanted to give it a try. It is strange that I never played my own sports until I was about 12. I have been studying tae kwon do since I was eight years old. I love how it emphasizes mind over matter. It is really calming and I have learned a lot of skill moves. I also really enjoy it.
