SCtoC QUICK TAKE
The Storm are vying for their seventh straight United Bowl championship. They faced possible elimination for this game, but were able to turn back the Barnstormers last week to earn the conference's first seed. The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak for the Barnstormers, who are making their first playoff appearance since 2009 when they played in af2. Sioux Falls and Des Moines are just over four-hours apart in driving distance.
Barnstormers quarterback Travis Partridge is a bona fide IFL MVP candidate. He helped lead a team which missed the playoffs in its first two seasons in the IFL, but finished this season with the second best record in the IFL. Like Brown, Partridge can also do damage in the running game. He has combined for 71 touchdowns through the ground and passing games this season. He has help in the backfield from Keshaudas Spence, who has had some standout games this season. Brady Roland and Ryan Balentine lead a strong receiving group. Partridge also relied heavily on Lucas Hefty in the season finale against the Storm.
Lorenzo Brown has been the Storm's quarterback for all six of those previous United Bowl victories and will look to make it a lucky seven. He is a dual threat guy who has actually scored 24 rushing touchdowns compared to 34 through the air. Robbie Rouse and Korey Williams are each formidable. Rouse, in particular, is averaging 40.9 yards per game and has hit the end zone 15 times. Williams has made an impact as a receiver as well. He is tied for first on the team with nine touchdown receptions, and he is second with 393 receiving yards per game. Mike Tatum leads the team with 433 receiving yards.

EXTRA
The winner of the United Conference Championship Game will be the winner of the Intense Conference Championship Game, which pits the Nebraska Danger and the Arizona Rattlers.
The 9-7 Danger visit Talking Stick Resort Arena (also home of the NBA's Phoenix Suns) to face the 12-4 Rattlers. Arizona, like the Spokane Empire last season, clinched the conference's first seed in their inaugural year in the IFL. The game is slated for a 6 p.m. (pacific daylight time) on June 24, directly after the expected finish of the United Conference Championship Game. The Intense Conference Championship will be available for live streaming on the IFL's YouTube Channel.
Our preview of that game can be found here: Danger at Rattlers (link will forward directly to the stream page).
