GRAND ISLAND, NE - It became the Bryan Hicks to Andre McDonald show over a span of 10 minutes of the second and third quarters as the Green Bay Blizzard came back from a 13-0 second quarter deficit to win their second game of the season, 28-20, over the Nebraska Danger tonight at Eihusen Arena.
Hicks hit McDonald on three touchdown passes over that span to open up a 28-20 third quarter lead. The Blizzard were able to hold on for the win in week 13. The Blizzard's first win of the season also came at the hands of the Danger, a 47-25 victory in week 11 at Green Bay.
The Blizzard moved to 2-8 with the win, while the Danger fell to 4-7.

Brad Hatfield put the Danger up early with a 22-yard field goal. The Danger extended that lead to 10-0 when Angelo Pease ran in from a yard out.
The Danger went up 13-0 early in the second quarter on Hatfield's 28-yard field goal. B.J. Hill's 24-yard run put the Blizzard on the scoreboard with just over eight minutes to go in the quarter. Pease put the Danger up 20-7 with his eight yard run. But it was the Blizzard closing out the half on Bryan Hicks' 45-yard pass to Andre McDonald. The Danger's lead was 20-14 at intermission.
Hicks found McDonald twice more to start the third quarter on touchdown passes of 22 and 21 yards, respectively. Suddenly, with 5:16 left in the quarter, the Blizzard were up 28-20.
The Blizzard iced it late in the fourth quarter with a 35-yard field goal from Jordan Endries.
Green Bay held the edge in total offense, 241 yards to 175, including a 161 to 29 yard edge in the passing game. The Danger held a 126 to 80 yard advantage in the running game. The Danger were penalized seven times for 32 yards and the Blizzard were flagged twice for 10 yards. The Blizzard committed two turnovers, both fumbles, coming in the fourth quarter.
Hicks completed 10 of 23 attempts for 168 yards and 3 touchdowns. Hill rushed 20 times for 76 yards and a score. McDonald was exceptional, catching 5 passes for 119 yards with 3 touchdowns. Jereme Jones and Chris Malott had 2 receptions apiece, for 22 and 18 yards, respectively. Manny Asprilla led the Green Bay Blizzard with 6 total tackles, and Darrius Sims had 2 pass break ups.
Hankerson went 8 of 31 for 49 yards, but rushed 11 times for 99 yards. Pease had 30 yard on 9 rushes and a pair of scores. Dent led the Danger's receiving corps with 2 catches for 18 yards. Rahman Kamara and Nakevion Leslie each had 6 total tackles for the Danger defense. Myke Tavarres had the game's only sacks, while Bryce Sadler recorded 2 tackles for loss.
The Blizzard will visit the Iowa Barnstormers on May 25 with kickoff scheduled for 5:05 p.m. pacific (7:05 p.m. central). The Danger will be in Phoenix to race the Arizona Rattlers on May 27. Kick in that one is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. pacific (3:05 p.m. central).
