At SCtoC, we cover and follow teams which are of interest to our individual viewers in a myriad sports, including college football.
This is your one-stop page here on the forum for the 2018 college football schedules for all of the teams we cover at follow on this site.
We return six teams from last season; Stanford, California, Oregon, Boise St., Eastern Washington and Portland St. are back again. The 2018 college football season begins the weekend of August 31-September 1.
Stanford, California and Oregon are all members of the Pac-12 Conference's North Division. They will look to unseat the 2017 conference champion USC Trojans. Last season, the Trojans clipped Stanford, 31-28, in the Pac-12 Championship game. Stanford and Oregon reached bowl game last season. David Shaw is the longest-tenured head coach in the conference and is entering his eighthth season as the Cardinal head coach. Shaw played wide receiver for Stanford from 1991 to 1994. Former Oregon defensive back Justin Wilcox will helm the Golden Bears of Cal for his second season as a college head coach. He served as linebackers coach for Cal from 2003 to 2005. Mario Cristobal is the new head coach of the Ducks, having replaced the departed Willie Taggart. Cristobal, who was the head coach at Florida International University from 2007 to 2012, served as co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the Ducks last season.
Eastern Washington and Portland St. are all members of the Big Sky Conference. Eastern Washington advanced to the FCS semifinals last season. Aaron Best will head into his second season as head coach of the Eagles. Aside from a 2007 stint as an offensive line coach with the Canadian Football League's Toronto Argonauts, Best has served in various assistant coaching roles with Eastern Washington, for which he played as a center and long snapper from 1996 to 1999. Bruce Barnum comes into his fourth season as head coach at Portland St.
Boise St. competes in the Mountain West Conference and has had success over the last several years. Bryan Harsin has served as head coach of the Broncos since 2014 when he took over for Chris Peterson, who took the head coaching job at the University of Washington.
The Pac-12 Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, November 30 at 5 p.m. That game will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California and will be televised on Fox. The Mountain West Championship game is set for Saturday, December 1 at 4:30 p.m. It will be played at the home stadium of the highest ranked team in the college football poll.
During the season, each week, SCtoC will have capsules of each of these teams' games, including broadcasting information and links to radio streams, as well as the vital statistics on each game.
Below are the schedules for our teams. All times on this page are pacific time. Home games are in bold/colored. When available, broadcast information has been listed in parenthesis. Times and dates may be subject to change.
Entering their second campaign under Justin Wilcox, the Bears will look to build on their successes of 2017. Cal was just a win away from becoming bowl eligible. The Bears' signature win of last season was a 37-3 drubbing of Washington St. They finished the season 5-7 and 2-7 in Pac-12 play.
