I want to add an apology here. We really should have had just one thread for the entire night. It would have been easier to follow for everyone. You live and learn and we'll do it with just one thread next time for events like this.

They really dropped the ball on this contest. Pun intended. This is the event which really seemed rushed more than anything else. These events are individual skills events and they should have been treated this way. There should have been eight dunkers to start, then four in a second round and two in the final round. Wall's winning dunk was nice, but by far not exceptional and contrary to what the announcers were saying, he did nothing close to bringing back the dunk contest. This is the one event wish really could be great year after year. This year it was a complete dud.
