It was incredible. Things were not going well for a while, but we turned it around in the last few minutes. Nurkic driving himself to the arena in the second half and appearing on the big screen got everyone elevated. That was absolutely amazing. The Nuggets-Spurs will have a big effect on the Blazers. If the Nuggets win, they'll have homecourt advantage. If the Spurs win, the Blazers would have homecourt. Yeah. And now we know it's the Nuggets. This could be a rough series for us. We are going to have a separate thread for the second round. Hopefully posted by tomorrow night. Julie is working on it.

Westbrook has now been traded to the Rockets for Chris Paul and a couple 1st round picks and pick swaps. Even at his age I would take Chris Paul over Westbrook any day, and because Paul George got traded the Thunder have over half a dozen 1st round picks in the coming years. The Thunder's future is the brightest it has been since Durant left. Who knows? In a few years, the Thunder may very well be one of the NBA's elite teams again. For right now, I can sleep at night knowing that Chris Paul won't do the dumb things Westbrook did and that we'll finally get to see what the talent on the Thunder's roster really looks like. Also, Chris Paul was on the Hornets team that played in OKC during the Katrina aftermath, so he was actually the first OKC point guard. Welcome back Chris.

They may buy out his contract. Westbrook and Harden will not get along. The big win for OKC getting the draft picks.

Although, considering that Chris Paul and Harden weren't getting along I don't think Chris Paul really lost the trade. Paul has 3 years left worth over 120 million so a buyout isn't in the cards. There are conflicting reports as to whether or not Paul is going to stay on the Thunder roster, but as stated previously I'm for him staying on the roster.

With word of Chris Paul officially staying on the Thunder, it seems to me that the Thunder are in amazing position to qualify for The Ewing Theory.

Well, that's kind of interesting. I'm not sure that they don't use at least half the draft picks to rebuild the team over the next six or seven years, but bye trading the picks instead of actually making the selections.
