Hey SCtoC it is me spiderfan here, and today I'm going to do a rapid fire version of Web of Football. Hopefully, things will be back to normal next week. Also, I'll be doing my midseason awards next week, so look forward to that. Let us begin!
-Congrats to Adam Vinatieri on his game winning FG!
-Meanwhile, the Broncos are a laughable organization. Seriously, when Joe Flacco of all people complains that you suck, you have problems.
-I have lost a lot of respect for Bruce Arians. Jameis Winston is a bust and by insisting that he isn't, Arians is looking more and more stupid as the weeks go by.
-Drew Brees is still the man.
-The 2019 New York Jets are a Hall of Fame level disaster. Like I predicted.
-The 2019 Washington Redskins are a disaster. I genuinely didn't see that coming.
-Mitch Trubisky led a clutch drive only for the game winning FG to be missed. Feel bad for him.
-The Kyle Allen bandwagon has hit a speed bump, but things will turn around against the Titans.
-The Cleveland Browns are cursed.
-Deshaun Watson is good.
-Aaron Rodgers is REALLY good.
-The trade deadline was lame.
ROAD TO 0-16
This is the segment I do, celebrating the very worst the NFL has to offer. After week 8 the 0-for teams are:
Miami Dolphins
Cincinnati Bengals
We have almost reached the halfway point of the season and these teams are still here. The Dolphins with Fitzpatrick at the helm have fight in them and that was clear Monday night. That didn't matter when the Dolphins called an all out blitz on 3rd and 20 near midfield and the Steelers got themselves back into the game and they ultimately won. The Dolphins still have to play the Jets twice and the other 0-for team (The Bengals) so I don't think they are going 0-16.
The Bengals on the other hand... yeah... they aren't so hot. Andy Dalton after nearly a decade of being the face of the franchise is being benched in favor of NC State alum Ryan Finley. I don't know if that'll change things in the short team but I know long term there is a former Ohio Mr. Football playing for the Bayou Bengals who might turn things around... next season.
Team most likely to 0-16 IMO: Cincinnati Bengals
ROAD TO 16-0
This is the segment I do, celebrating the very best the NFL has to offer. After week 7 the undefeated teams are:
New England Patriots
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers and Patriots both dominated this week. With that being the case, the team that IMO is most likely to undefeated are... the 49ers. When you dominate a team like the Panthers, that shows that you are a upper echelon type team. The Patriots dominated... the Browns. Not the same thing. Besides, I think the Ravens are beating the Patriots next week, so the 49ers are obvious.
Team most to 16-0 IMO: San Francisco 49ers
I know this week's column wasn't my usual, even so I hope ya still found some enjoyment in it. I'll be back next week. Go Astros! This is spiderfan out
