Overview
The following is the 2020 schedule for Sioux Falls Storm.
The Storm have a target on their backs as they embark on defense of their 2019 United Bowl title. The Storm finished last year's regular season at 11-3, landing them the third seed in the IFL playoffs. They held off the Tucson Sugar Skulls in the First Round and surprised the Iowa Barnstormers in the United Conference Championship Game to advance to the United Bowl against the Arizona Rattlers in Glendale, Arizona. The Storm halted the Rattlers' bid for an undefeated season by defeating the Rattlers 56-53 to claim their seventh championship in the past 10 years.
Sioux Falls opens the 2020 season with a home date against the Bismarck Bucks on March 15th. That follows an opening weekend bye week. After a home game on March 29th against the Frisco Fighters, the Storm hit the road for two straight, but are back in Sioux Falls for three consecutive games to follow. The Storm play three straight on the road to finish the season, including a June 27th meeting with the Barnstormers at Des Moines.
Each IFL team plays 14 games (seven home and seven away), and has three bye weeks. The Storm's byes come in Weeks 1, 3 and 13. They play their home games at the Denny Sanford Premiere Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Kurtis Riggs is back as the team's head coach for his 18th season at the helm.
All Storm games will be broadcast locally on the radio and will be available for streaming through those stations. SCtoC will provide links in its previews of the games, as well as recaps of each IFL game. Broadcast information for each game is forthcoming and will be updated on this page when available.
