Overview
The following is the 2020 schedule for the Duke City Gladiators.
The Gladiators make their Indoor Football debut this season after moving over from Champions Indoor Football over the off season. Duke City joined the IFL after winning two straight CIF championships. The Gladiators will look to make their impact in their new league as eight of the IFL's 13 teams will earn playoff spots. They are entering their sixth season as an indoor football franchise.
After a bye in Week 1, Duke City opens its season on March 12th with a visit to Frisco. That's the first of three straight home games to start the season. The Gladiators' home opener doesn't come until April 4 when they host the San Diego Strike Force. They play another three-game road trip in the middle of the season before playing five straight at home in May and June. That homestand comes right before the season finale on June 27th on the road against the Arizona Rattlers. The Gladiators do not meet the Bismarck Bucks, Green Bay Blizzard, Iowa Barnstormers or Spokane Shock in 2020.
Each IFL team plays 14 games (seven home and seven away) and has three bye weeks. The Gladiators' byes come in Weeks 1, 7 and 10. They play their home games at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Pig Brown, who coached last year for the now-defunct Nebraska Danger, will enter his first season as the team's head coach.
All Gladiators games will be broadcast locally on the radio and will be available for streaming through those stations. SCtoC will provide links in its previews of the games, as well as recaps of each IFL game. Broadcast information for each game is forthcoming and will be updated on this page when available.
Below is the Gladiators 2020 schedule. Home games are noted in bold black. Times and dates are subject to change. All times are pacific. Click on the final score for the boxscore and Recap for SCtoC's original recap of this game.
