Dag nabbit. I gotta do another one of these rapid fire thoughts editions of Web of Football. As stated previously, I prefer to do my usual style, but this week that is how the cookie crumbled. So, with all of that out of the way let us begin!
Rapid Fire Thoughts
-This week was a terrible week in Dallas. Not only did the Cowboys break their losing streak, their losing streak against winning teams, win in a big national tv game, but Urban Meyer was at the Redskins game. Spoilers, I want Urban Meyer to be the next HC of the Cowboys and seeing him potentially end up with the Redskins was not a good sight. Oh, and Garrett might actually keep his job which is even more sickening. Go Renegades!
-It looked like the Texans were gonna blow 14-0 lead to the Titans, but they didn't and are now at the top of the AFC South. Even with that, it looks like the Week 17 rematch between the Texans and Titans is going to be must see TV.
-The Tinys beat the Dolphins? I gotta say I was actually surprised by that result.
-The fact that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce both dominated in snowy conditions is REALLY REALLY impressive.
-I can't be the only one who thought Da Bears' final lateral play was going to work. Also, Da Bears are now eliminated from playoff contention thus making my Super Bowl pick of Bears-Chiefs outdated.
-Matt Stafford is a franchise QB. Ya wanna know how I know? Look at the Lions without him.
-Really Patriots? Ya spied on the Bengals? Embarrassing.
-Welp, I guess the Kyle Allen bandwagon is now done. This is awkward.
-The Chargers need to keep Joey Bosa and then blow the rest of the team up. Coaches, front office, the whole deal.
-Congrats to Gardner Minshew and the Jaguars for spoiling the Raiders' last home game in Oakland! Also, Raiders what happened? Y'all were looking like serious playoff contenders and now you are at best going to be .500.
-How bout those Cardinals?
-The Falcons are the kings of winning meaningless November and December games that ultimately keep them from rebuilding. With that said, the Seahawks are now at top of the NFC West and the number 1 seed. The Week 17 game between the 49ers and Seahawks is going to be must see TV.
-Congrats to the Buffalo Bills for clinching only their 2 playoff spot in the last 20 years!
-Duck Hodges... isn't all that great yet. SNF made that clear.
-Congrats to Drew Brees for becoming the NFL all time TD pass leader!
Random Eurobeat Recommendation of the Week
What is Eurobeat? It is basically European disco pop music. It was made most famous by the anime series Initial D and Initial D is my favorite anime of all time in part because of the Eurobeat music throughout it. However, this week I'm not recommending a song that was featured in Initial D. Like last week, I'm going to recommend a song that was on the Eurobeat Disney album that was released in 2000 in Japan. My recommendation for this week is Under the Sea by Derrick Simmons a cover of Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid. Enjoy!
That is all for this week's edition of Web of Football. Even though it wasn't in it my traditional style, I hope ya still enjoyed and I hope to see ya again next week! This is spiderfan out.
