The recent merger of the MidAtlanticFootball League and the American ArenaLeague figures to boost the AALs chances of becoming a strong football league. The league gains markets in Washington, Maryland Eagles, and NewYork-NewJersey markets. The Jersey Bearcats were the Mid Atlantic Leagues representative from that market. There will likely be some great rivalaries developing out of the merger as well. The new Maryland team and the current Indianoplis team known as the enforcers figure too take the fledging college basketball rivalary to the girdiron. In addition to this the close proximity between the Maryland team and the leagues Carolina terams figures too spark fan interest in a league that last season struggled too keep[ franchises alive and venues ready for play. The American Arena League lost two high profile franchises in the the West Virginia Rough RIDERS and the New JERSET Flight in the offseason to the National Arena League, the newcomers will keep fan interest up and help the league attract new facesd making them part of the indoor landscape for many years too come.

These two leagues are extremely insignificant. I don't see how even this merger overtakes the CIF, let along the IFL or NAL. Nothing to see here.
