The following is the full schedule for the 2020 National Football League season.
The league had some time to prepare for its season amid the COVID-19 pandemic and has come up with a plan for a regular schedule, minus pre-season games. Protocols are in place, including virus testing for the players and staffs. Unlike all other professional sports leagues, which shut down their seasons around the middle of March due to the pandemic and have resumed in one way or the other, there will be some fans in the stands at the majority of stadiums beginning at some point in the season. Those fans will be subject to protocols such as having their temperatures taken prior to entering the stadiums, wearing masks, and observing social distancing guidelines in the stands.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs completed an impressive run in 2019, pressing through the playoffs and winning their second Vince Lombardi trophy with a 31-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers. The win was head coach Andy Reid's first title in a pair of tries. Several teams look to knock the Chiefs off their pedestal, including the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- all of whom possess solid rosters.
The NFL has had an active offseason with several big name moves; some perhaps a bit expected, while others seemingly out of the blue. The question remains to be seen as to which fits were the right ones for the respective teams and players. The season kicks off Thursday, September 10 with the Houston Texans visiting the Chiefs.

SCtoC's NFL Analyst spiderfan counts down his top five story lines heading into the league's 101st season:
5. Mitchell Trubisky vs Nick Foles
After a disappointing and surprisingly (at least to your's truly) lackluster tenure in Jacksonville, Super Bowl 52 MVP Nick Foles was traded to the Chicago Bears and is reunited with his one time OC and now current Bears HC Matt Nagy. While former No. 2 overall pick Mitchell Trubisky was declared starter coming out of training camp, due to his mediocre to poor play and all around unpopularity in Chicago it would not surprise me if at some point Foles usurps him. If nothing else, the heat is very much on Trubisky in a make or break year not just for him (he is in a contract year), but possibly for the current regime of the Chicago Bears.
4. New New England Patriots QB Cam Newton
After Tom Brady's exit and a regime change in Charlotte, 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton finds himself as the quarterback of the New England Patriots. After years of injuries and good but not great play can Cam finally become his former self? Can he lead a post-Brady Patriots team to success? Can Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels get the most out of Cam? These are all questions that will be answered as the season progresses and will be fascinating to watch.
3. A Chiefs Repeat?
The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl Champions and retain the vast majority of their lineup from their championship squad. Sometimes for team that has won a championship complacency can set in and the team is not what they were. Other times? Dynasties are born. It will be curious to see which one the Chiefs are.
2. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals
This will come off as a homer pick, but hear me out. Despite decent success the LSU Tigers program was kinda stagnant and their was a general sense of dissatisfaction around the program. Joe Burrow's transfer from Ohio State to LSU led to a revival. A Fiesta Bowl win in his first year (ending UCF's famous win streak) and then a Heisman Trophy and a National Championship last year. The Cincinnati Bengals have talented players, guys like AJ Green, John Ross, and Joe Mixon. Can he help lead a revival of what was not long ago a decent successful kinda stagnant professional team that has a general sense of dissatisfaction around it? I think he can and that will make the Bengals surprisingly fun to watch this season.
1. The Tommy Bay Buccaneers
After finally ridding themselves of the bust known as Jameis Winston, the Buccaneers replaced him with living legend Tom Brady. Around Brady? Mike Evans and Chris Godwin at wideout. Rob Gronkowski fresh out of retirement and allegedly looking the healthiest he has been in years at TE. Leonard Fournette and LeSean McCoy at RB. Shaquil Barrett, Jason Pierre Paul, Ndamukong Suh, and Devin White on defense. Not to mention Bruce Arians who is now free of Winston's suckage and coach a competent and new outlook Tom Brady. This team is extremely talented and has sky high expectations and whether they realize is those expectations or not has to be the number one storyline of the 2020 NFL Season.
In the schedule below, all times are pacific and subject to change. Note that some prime time games toward the end of the season may be "flexed," or changed from the original match up to another with higher playoff implications. All broadcast information is current as of this posting. The final scores will be updated upon completion of the games.
