RATTLERS OVERVIEW
Arizona is looking to reclaim the United Bowl championship in 2021. The Rattlers, coached by Kevin Guy, feature several returning players who will contend for that prize. In 2019, they posted a perfect 14-0 record before losing the United Bowl to the Sioux Falls Storm, 56-53. Drew Powell, who led the Iowa Barnstormers to the United Bowl championship in 2018, returns at quarterback for the Rattlers. He was a key cog in that nearly undefeated 2019 season. But the talent doesn't end there. Darrell Monroe, who holds the IFL record for rushing touchdowns in a game with 11, is back at the running back position. Jamal Miles Jarrod Harrington and Jeremiah Harris will be the featured receivers with Miles also getting some carries out of the backfield. There are quite a few notable names on defense as well. Returnees Chris McAllister and Nikolaus D'Avanzo will be expected to anchor the line, with Treyvon Williams at linebacker. Covering the secondary will include Tyrell Pearson and Devin Cockrell. Ernesto Lacayo is on to take care of the kicking duties.
WRANGLERS OVERVIEW
On August 20, 2020, the Wranglers announced they would bring a third team to the state of Arizona. The location is Prescott Valley, which is located about 90 miles north of the Rattlers' Phoenix home (the other Arizona team, the Sugar Skulls, are located in the southern portion of the state in Tucson. When the IFL moved back it's season opening date by a little over a month, it actually helped the Wranglers in giving them more time for player acquisitions. Dominic Bramante comes over from a successful five-year stint with the Duke City Gladiators, formerly of Champions Indoor Football. Bramante led the Gladiators to CIF championships in 2018 and 2019. He hit the free agent market hard and came up with a couple options at quarterback. Verlon Reed, Jr., the IFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2017 with the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles will likely take the help under center. Marquez Rogers and Shaquan Curenton are the big names at receiver. The defense is paced by Micah Eugene, Jr. and Antwan Smith, while Tim Parker is the kicker on the roster.
IFL Hall of Fame
During halftime of the May 15 game between the Iowa Barnstormers and Sioux Falls Storm, four new members will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. They are: Former IFL and NFL (Buffalo Bills) running back Fred Jackson; Former player and current Sioux Falls Storm head coach Kurtiss Riggs; two-time United Bowl Championship head coach and once Coach of the Year Heron O'Neal; and the late John Pettit, for his contributions to the indoor game and eventually bringing the Iowa Barnstormers over to the IFL, and winning the 2018 United Bowl.

Jackson: "My journey to the NFL was truly a unique one. Some of my fondest memories of playing football were in the IFL. I was able to learn a lot about the speed of the game. It is an absolute honor to be inducted into the IFL Hall of Fame."
KURTISS RIGGS
The current head coach of the Storm has had a lasting legacy on indoor football, including guiding the Storm to 10 straight United Bowl appearances, winning seven of those. Riggs: "This is an accomplishment I never envisioned. But, is an award that really makes me think back to all the great players and coaches that I have had the opportunity to work with and coach. I am very thankful for the tremendous owners that have been willing to take on the indoor game and own a team in the IFL and Sioux Falls. Thank you to my family for their support and being a part of things year in and year out. Thank you to the fans, players, coaches, sponsors, staff, and families that have contributed to the Storm tradition of success."
HERON O'NEAL

He coached several other teams and is now at the helm of the Salina Liberty of Champions Indoor Football. Heron: "I firmly believe that during any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear is that moment when he has worked his heart out for a good cause and stands exhausted on the field of battle,” O’Neal said. “In the years of coaching in the IFL, I battled against some great coaches and coached some great men and without them I wouldn't be who I am today and I wouldn't be here accepting this nomination. I thank them and all who believed in me."
