Breakdown
BUCKS
After a 3-1 start, including a pair of wins over the Blizzard, Bismarck looked to be on the precipice of an early playoff run. Then came losses to the Iowa Barnstormers and Sioux Falls Storm and suddenly they were back at .500. A little home cooking turned out to be what they needed to get back on track, as they blew out the Barnstormers last week, 53-22. The Bucks already have won twice as many games as they did in 2019 and are poised bor even more. Glen Cuiellette has been the starter for most of the season, though Richard Stammetti saw the bulk of action in last week's win. The former has completed 52 percent of his passes for 711 yards with 19 touchdowns and three picks. Stammetti is 65 percent on his throws for three scores and three interceptions. Just Rankin provides a punch in the running game with 37.5 yards per game. J.T, Stokes and Raheem Harvey pace the receiving group along with Mike Carrigan. The trio has combined for 22 scoring grabs thus far. Deion Carter and Darreon Jackson pace the defense with 28 and 27 tackles, respectively. Lawrence Ross III comes in with 3.5 sacks.
BLIZZARD
Like the Bucks, Green Bay is looking to get back on track after losing at home by a touchdown to the Arizona Rattlers two weeks ago. The Blizzard's game last week against the Louisville Xtreme was cancelled and the Xtreme's membership in the IFL was terminated by the league this week for failure to meet financial obligations. The Blizzard undoubtedly used their unexpected bye week to correct some things. Damion May has been the starter over the past five games. He comes in completing 61 percent of his passes for 439 yards with 15 touchdowns and a single interception. He also leads the Blizzard in rushing with 159 yards off 40 carries with another three scores. Keshaun Taylor is the main target in the passing game having caught 17 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns. Eric Thomas, Jr. leads the team with six scoring grabs and Treyvon Saunders is effective for the team as a receiver and kick returner. Corey Turner, Momodou Mbye and Diondre Wallace are playmakers on defense. Mason Gray comes in with a trio of interceptions, and Dajon Emory has three sacks.
