Breakdown
FIGHTERS
Frisco is coming off an unexpected bye week due to the IFL terminating the membership of the Louisville Xtreme which effectively cancelled last week's game. Nonetheless, the Fighters are the league's lone undefeated team heading into week 10. Despite their perfect record, all four of their games have been close. They've not won by more than eight points and have only outscored their opponents by 19 points total this season. Jonathan Bane has been exceptional at the quarterback position by completing 60 percent of his passes for 604 yards with 11 touchdowns and no interceptions. He seems to be a clutch leader who can take advantage of late-game opportunities. Demarcus Felton rushes for 40 yards per game with nine touchdowns. Lance Evans, Mark Munson and Manny Arceneaux will take the load at receiver with Munson's six touchdowns leading the group. Khalil Williams and Trey Caldwell are forces on defense, with Caldwell's six pass break ups leading the team. Charles Williams has four sacks and Joel Dullary a pair of interceptions.
GLADIATORS
Duke City was on the cusp of their second victory of the season three weeks ago with a visit to the Fighters. The Gladiators scored in the final minute and converted on the two-point conversion to tied the game at 55-55. Then They converted a deuce on the next kickoff to go up by two with seconds left, only to see Fighters kicker Bryce Crawford nail a 32-yard field goal right up the middle to give the Fighters a one-point win. The Gladiators do not possess a potent running game, so it is up to quarterback Nate Davis to make big plays. Davis is completing 60 percent of his passes for 968 yards and has tossed 26 touchdowns against six interceptions. He also has scored two touchdowns on the ground. Duke City has arguably the best receiving trio in the IFL in Dello Davis (12 touchdowns), Jared Elmore (six) and Xavier Amey (five). All three have no less than 265 receiving yards through just four games. Paul Robinson and Ray Jones, Jr. come in with 30 and 29 tackles, respectively, to lead the defense. Javion Williams has two sacks and Dexter Resse has the team's only defensive interception.
