Breakdown
STORM
Sioux Falls finds itself in a precarious position which it has never faced since joining the current IFL in 2009. It's been eight years since the Storm lost four games in a season; and, it was the only season they reached that many losses. Still, they ended that season by winning the United Bowl, their third of six straight IFL championships. Lorenzo Brown, Jr. has a couple of United Bowl MVP awards and has been splitting time with Tommy Armstrong, Jr. as of late. Brown went the distance last week against the Shock. For the season, he is completing 55 percent of his throws with eight touchdowns and two interceptions. He also has rushed for three scores. Nate Chavious is averaging nearly 40 yards rushing per game and is tied for second with 13 trips to the end zone. Brandon Sheperd is one of the league's most reliable receivers in the league. Trey Wafford and Marquis Hendrix pace the Storm defense with 56 and 53 tackles, respectively. Wafford also leads the defense with two interceptions and seven tackles for loss.
BLIZZARD
Green Bay is on the precipice of earning their second straight playoff berth, or watching to postseason from home. The Blizzard are 5-5 and are looking to secure a spot in the playoffs in the coming weeks. The Blizzard are the second-longest tenured IFL team; second only to the Storm. Defense has been the calling card for the Blizzard all season. When their defense is been strong, they win games. They'll need that defense to come up big this week against the defending champs. Brook Bolles will likely get his second start of the season at quarterback. He is completing 63 percent of his passes for 190 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Kerrion Moore leads all Blizzard rushers with 34.7 yards per game and seven touchdowns. Eric Thomas, Jr., Keshaun Taylor, Treyvon Saunders and Kezlow Smith make up a formidable quartet in the receiving corps. Momodu Mbye, Corey Turner, Bakari Triggs and Diondre Wallace all have at least 53 tackles on the season. Mbye leads the team with four picks and Dajon Emory has three sacks.
