Breakdown
BLIZZARD
With just two games left in the regular season, Green Bay finds itself in a precarious position. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Blizzard were 5-5 and appeared likely to be headed to the postseason for the second season in a row. After losses to the Bismarck Bucks and Massachusetts Pirates, they head into the weekend on the outside looking in. A win over the Fighters could put the Blizzard right back in the thick of the playoff race ahead of next week's season finale at the Sioux Falls Storm. Brook Bolles has gotten the start the past several games for the Blizzard. He is completing 49 percent of his passes with 17 touchdowns and just a pair of interceptions. He also has two rushing scores. Kerrion Moore should compliment Bolles in the rushing game as he leads the team with seven touchdowns. Keshaun Taylor comes in with team highs of 34 catches for 425 yards and eight scores, and Kezlow Smith has 23 grabs for 209 yards and six touchdowns. Bakari Triggs paces a stout Green Bay defense with 69 tackles and three interceptions, and Diondre Wallace comes in with three sacks.
FIGHTERS
Frisco has already clinched a playoff berth and home field in the first round, but its mission is not over. A win this week over the Blizzard and a win in the season finale next week against the Arizona Rattlers will give the Fighters home field advantage throughout the playoffs; including the United Bowl should they advance that far. Interestingly, even at 9-2, the Fighters have not had a game decided by more than 11 points. They have won three straight and are allowing opponents to an IFL second-lowest 36.9 points per game. Malik Henry has taken over the starting duties and led the Fighters to two straight wins. He is completing 52 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and an interception. Demarcus Felton averages nearly 39 yards per game on the ground with 18 touchdowns. Mark Munson, Marques Rodgers and Manny Arceneaux are a formidable receiving trio. Munson leads the group with nine scores. On defense, Khalil Williams leads the way with 43 tackles. Charles Williams has a league-high nine sacks and Malcolm Goines has 4.5 of his own.
