Breakdown
BUCKS
Bismarck has already clinched a playoff berth, but has an opportunity to earn the fourth seed and a home game in the First Round of the playoffs. To accomplish that, the Bucks need to defeat the Gladiators and they need the Iowa Barnstormers to lose their game against the 10-3 Massachusetts Pirates at Worcester, Mass. Both outcomes are possible, but it will be up to the Bucks to follow through on their end. Should the Barnstormers and Bucks both win, Bismarck will end up as the fifth seed. Kenyate Allen, Jr. has started the past three games in place of the injured Caleb Lewis. He is completing 65 percent of his passes for nine touchdowns and no picks. He also rushes for 40.7 yards per game with three touchdowns. Justin Rankin has rushed for 15 touchdowns on the season, as well as 10 scoring grabs through the air. Raheem Harvey leads a tough receiving group for the Bucks. Darreon Jackson paces the defense with 72 tackles. Zuril Hendrick adds 49 tackles, three interceptions and 19 pass break ups.
GLADIATORS
Duke City sits currently in seventh place. A Gladiators win and they're in the playoffs, though the seed would be determined by other outcomes. The good news is that they are the highest-scoring team in the league at 52.3 points per game. The bad news is that they are second-to-last in points allowed at 47.5. After winning the Champions Indoor Football championships in 2018 and 2019, earning a playoff spot would be a nice accomplishment in their first year in a higher-level league in the IFL. Nate Davis is the IFL's top passer with 2,655 yards, 73 touchdowns (the second highest is 34 by the Pirates' Alejandro Bennifield) and nine interceptions. Davis also has rushed for six touchdowns. Raymond Taylor has seven rushing touchdowns. Dello Davis leads the league with 68 catches for 868 yards and 28 scores, and Xavier Amey and Jared Elmore have combined for 1,637 yards 37 scoring grabs. Ray Jones Jr. leads the defense with 78 tackles. Lance Hyder has four interceptions and Daelin Young has 7.5 tackles for loss.
