Sacramento KingsWhat: Portland heads to Sacramento to face the Kings. When: Friday, Oct. 31, 7 p.m. Media: CSNNW (TV), Rip City Radio 620 AM (radio). The Blazers swept the season series last season with the Kings, 4-0, including a one-point win on April 9 as Dorell Wright nailed a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Blazers the win. The Blazers (1-0) will look to utilize their three-headed monster in the post with LaMarcus Aldridge, Robin Lopez and Chris Kama, who combined for 50 points and 19 rebounds in the season opener.The Kings (0-1), which lost to the Warriors 95-77 in their opener, rely heavily on DeMarcus Cousins, Carl Landry and Rudy Gay. They are retooling and looking to play spoiler. Cousins led the Kings in the loss to the Warriors with 20 points and 11 rebounds. none HEAD COACHMichael Malone Angi's TakeThe Blazers started sluggishly in the opener at home against the injury depleted Thunder, but turned it on in the second half, specifically in the fourth quarter. They outscored the Thunder 57-35 in the second half. Kaman stood out among the reserves and Blake did a fine job. They will still need to feature a second scorer among the reserves; either McCollum or Barton. Lillard had a rough opener, but he will be back to his old self. The Kings have talent, but it may take time for them to put something together. Cousins can be a beast and Lopez will begin the game defending him. Collison can be a problem if you let him and Gay has proven over his career that he can hurt teams in many ways. The Kings often went with a small lineup against the Warriors. The Blazers can either match that or try to force them to go big. On paper, this may look like a bit of a cake walk, but the Blazers cannot overlook the Kings at this early point in the season. I don't want to call this a bounce back game for Lillard, but I think he will shoot better and score quite a few more points than he did on Wednesday night. That game Angi referenced in the preview should not have come down to a last second shot. We should really win this one by a comfortable margin. Or so I think at least.

There was no need. I'll be here all night, I got no plans, lol. I know that, other than the design, it's actually a brand new court with new wood. The design, however, is just garbage. The pinwheel in the middle is too small, and the "Portland Trail Blazers" on both ends is too much. Don't even get me started on the two toned court either. |
