April 8 - Thunder receiver Jamar Howard's big game in week two has not gone unnoticed.
The third-year wide receiver from Central Missouri was named Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Tampa Bay Storm in which he caught 15 passes for 221 yards and 4 touchdowns. The receptions and yards are Thunder franchise records. The Thunder were defeated in the game by the Storm, 54-48.
Howard leads the AFL in each of the three major receiving categories with 23 receptions, 335 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Howard joined the Thunder mid-season last year and appeared in 11 games. He amassed 44 receptions for 664 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Previous to coming to Portland, he played for the Cleveland Gladiators. He also made an appearance in one game with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. He caught 71 passes for 1,199 yards and touchdowns in his senior season at Central Missouri.

he had another good game in week 3. I'm not sure where he is on the league leaderboards, but i would imagine pretty high (hint hint, Angi!).
