June 16 -- The NBA Las Vegas Summer League schedule is out and the Blazers will face the Celtics to open their schedule.
Summer League tips off for the Blazers on July 11 against the Celtics, at 5 p.m. (PT)
They also will face the Mavericks and Spurs in the preliminary round on July 12 and July 14, respectively. he first three games will all be held at Cox Pavilion on the campus at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
Each team will play five games. Following the three-game preliminary round, it turns to a tournament format will guarantees each team two additional games; possibly more depending on the results. A championship game will be held on June 20.
The schedule:
Sat., July 11 - vs. Boston Celtics (L 76-85)
Sun., July 12 - vs. Dallas Mavericks (W 93-80)
Tue., July 14 - vs. San Antonio Spurs (L 75-79)
Wed., July 15 - vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (W 82-77)
Thr., July 16 - vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30 p.m. (L 85-91)
Fri., July 17 - vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. (W 72-64)
Current Blazers who are on the roster include forward/center Meyers Leonard, forward/guard Allen Crabbe, forward Noah Vonleh and Tim Frazier. Also on the roster is recently signed rookie guard Pat Connaughton, the number 41 pick in the NBA who was traded to the Blazers on draft day. Leonard is expected to be with the team, but see little to no game action.
The Blazers Summer League roster appears below.
All of the Blazers Summer League games will be televised on CSNNW, as well as Rip City Radio 620 AM.
