ANGI'S TAKES
SCREAMING EAGLES:
Payback. That is the word for this game. In their first-ever game in West Valley City, the Nebraska Danger ran away with the 78-47 win. It was the first game in the Screaming Eagle' history. That was over two months ago. The Screaming Eagles area different team. They have been relatively close in their past several games.
Though they have lost all three of their past three games, the margin of loss have an average of just 7.2 points. There is some hope for the Screaming Eagles here. This could be the game in which they turn it around. The Danger are 0-2 in their last two games.
Rookie quarterback Verlon Reed is next to the Wichita Falls' quarterback in total offense. Reed has completed 64.2 percent of his passes for 1,256 yards and 28 touchdowns.
With Cy Strahm injured, the receiving duties Will fall upon Devin Mahina and Juwan Dotson.
Player to Watch: Verlon Reed (QB).
DANGER:
The Danger are a bit in flux. They are in the playoff hunt at 4-3, just a half-game back of the second-place Arizona Rattlers and a game and a half back of thee conference leading Spokane Empire in the Intense Conference.
Derrick Bernard is back at the helm after siting a couple games on the sidelines. He has completed 54.3 percent of his passes and has a 17 touchdown to six interception ratio. He is a rushing threat as well, with 242 yards and a dozen touchdowns.
Rob Brown adds to those rushing totals with 193 yards on 39 carries and three touchdowns. Brown also leads the team in receiving with 31 grabs for 195 yards. Dimitri Stimphil is the real threat for the Danger, having caught 30 balls for 377 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Danger have a chance to put themselves in the Intense Conference race for a playoff spot. A win over the Screaming Eagles could perpetuate that.
Player to Watch: Dimitri Stimphil (WR)
