Monday turned out to be a frenzy of a day for the Arizona Rattlers, as they have traded longtime MVP-winning quarterback Drew Powell to their in-state rival, the Tucson Sugar Skulls. Arizona receives Ramone Atkins in return, who guided the Sugar Skulls to a playoff berth last summer.
The move comes on a day when the Rattlers also signed 2023 IFL Championship MVP Dalton Sneed to a contract for the 2024 season. Safe to say, the Rattlers will have no shortage of talented options for signal-callers this upcoming spring.

Two new QBs and a move to Desert Diamond Arena (formerly Gila River Arena) in Glendale for the team's permanent home.
Busy day for the Rattlers.

By trading away Powell, doesn't that open up a veteran roster spot for them? I don't think either of these QBs have been in the league for more than two years.

On a semi-related note, I did see that Ramone Atkins was listed on the roster for the revived Nashville Kats of the AFL. So it's full Dalton Sneed SZN in the PHX. |

Either one of these guys would be too good to just sit on the bench behind the other all season. |
