I played football, basketball, baseball and track all four years. I love the sense of competition.

I was a cheerleader in High School and I participated in track. I graduated from HS in 1966 which was long before TItle IX so our opportunities were limited, plus my HS was incredibly small. Boys had football, 8 man, basketball and track. I am thankful for the opportunities young women have now to participate.

I wanted to try out for volleyball, but I'm only 5'2" so I didn't think I would have much of a shot at it. I played basketball my freshman and sophomore years then I got involved in some other school stuff. Women's sports have come a long way over the past few decades. It seems only fair to me. |

In high school, I played soccer and lacrosse. I was pretty quick, still am, so I liked the speed sports. I hated track though. That feeling before a race of anticipation was too much for me. Nowadays, I'm all about street ball.

I'm playing basketball and softball starting this year. Could we have another Diamond Thief? Maybe! I'm not as fast as she was but I'm good in other parts of the game. I played point guard for my school's basketball team last year. |
