Feb. 10, 2016 -- The SWX network and the Spokane Empire will once again team up, as the network will televised a quartet of the team's games over the course of the 2016 season, the team announced today.
The Empire will open their inaugural Indoor Football League season on Feb. 20 at Tri-Cities against the Fever. Their first home game is Feb. 27 against Wichita Falls Nighthawks.
SWX also will feature exclusive interviews with head coach Adam Shackleford and players on SWX Right Now during the season.
The following is the slate of games which will be broadcast on SWX this season:
April 9, vs. Colorado Crush, 7 p.m.
May 7, vs. Billings Wolves, 7 p.m.
May 20, vs. Tri-Cities Fever, 7 p.m.
June 18, vs. Sioux Falls Storm, 7 p.m.

Sam Adams will call the games and Mike Peterson will provide color commentary. The following are their respective bios, as posted on spokaneempire.com:
Sam Adams: "Emmy award winning reporter and voted Best Sportscaster 2015 by The Inlander, joined the KHQ and SWX sports team in August of 2009. Adams has been covering sports in the Pacific Northwest for his entire broadcasting career, from sled dog racing and hockey in Alaska to the Pac-12. His career started as the radio voice of the Anchorage Glacier Pilots, an Alaska Baseball League summer team. He can be heard every week on SWX calling the action for high school and college football, Chiefs hockey, and just about everything in between."
Mike Peterson: "has been on the broadcasting team since the Spokane franchise’s inaugural season as a member of the af2 in 2006. He has spent time as both a Sideline Reporter and Color Analyst. Peterson played collegiately as a wide receiver for Washington State University, leading the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns his senior year in 1982."
The Empire, formerly the Spokane Shock, have moved to the Indoor Football League after six years in the Arena Football League.
