This is an interesting move but I like it for the mere fact that Houston Lillard has indoor football experience. How about it, two Lillards playing professionally in Portland?!

Houston Lillard, the older brother of Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, has a workout scheduled for Nov. 20 with Portland’s new Arena Football League team, a source informed CSNNW.com.
This workout is the first step in potentially having two Lillards suiting up at the Moda Center.
Lillard, 26, played quarterback for the Indoor Football League’s Tri-Cities Fever from 2010-2012 where he became an accomplished, prolific playmaker.
In 2011 he guided the team to the United Bowl, the IFL’s title game. That year he was second in the league in total yards, touchdown passes (87) and was runner-up for MVP and earned Second-Team All-IFL honors.
The following season, in 2012, he guided the Fever to a franchise-best 12 wins, while passing for 2,720 yards, throwing for 59 touchdown passes with only 10 interceptions. The Fever made it to their second consecutive United Bowl appearance, however coming up short again. Lillard finished runner-up for MVP and secured his second straight All-League Second-Team award.
At 5-11, Lillard lacks the height of a protypical quarterback but makes up for it with his allusiveness and strong arm. Portland recently signed Darron Thomas, the former University of Oregon quarterback. He is currently the only quarterback on the roster.
